Summer Specials- Leah's Summer Favourites

Our Summer Favorites ♡

The products i have chosen to review are my Essie Nail Varnishes, i have chosen 5 shades that i think are just perfect for summer! The shades i have chosen are; we're in this together, tart deco, mint candy apple, bikini so teeny and the more the merrier. (All pictured below)
From left to right:
We're in this Together, Tart Deco, Mint Candy Apple,
Bikini so Teeny and The More the Merrier.
We're in this together♡
The shade we're in this together is a pretty girly pink with hints of glitter that sparkles in the light, the shade is a light pink which would be perfect with a cute pastel outfit. This is one of Essie's thinner polishes which means it will need two coats to get it the right shade.

Tart deco♡
Tart deco is a quirky, modern eye catching nail varnish shade, it is a coral-ly (if that's even a word) orange shade. This colour would be perfect for a summer picnic or trip out shopping.

Mint candy apple♡

Mint candy apple is a cute pastel green shade which is sure to get everyone's attention and is bursting with colour. This is a very popular nail colour shade as alot of people have been excited about this, i can defiantly see why.

Bikini so teeny♡
This shade bikini so teeny is a bold yet elegant baby blue shade of nail varnish, it is the perfect summer shade and would look lovely on hand or toe nails.

The more the merrier♡
The more the merrier's shade is not given justice in the images, as i couldn't capture its true beauty even with a good quality camera. The more the merrier is a vibrant green with hints of yellow. It is a eye catching varnish that is sure to get people asking where its from.

Product I love- Clinque eyelid smoothie

Products I'm Loving
Clinque Eyelid Smoothie

The product I am sharing with you today is the Clinique eyelid smoothie in number 11 current affair. It is a taupe/purpley colour and I received the sample version so it may be slightly smaller from the version in the shops but it is still the same product inside.

I believe this product costs £18.50 and is available from most Clinique counters. This product is an eyeshadow but with a gel like consistency. I think it is better than powder eye shadow because it glides onto your eyelid really smoothly and is really easy to apply.

The product claims that it lasts for 8 hours because it is more of a gel than powder therefore more long lasting and stays put it I think that this product does live up to it's promise and maybe even lasts longer than 8 hours. I think it is quote clever because powder eyeshadow are tiny little granules of product that can smear and wear off but because this is a gel it applies like a liquid but when it dries it stays put. My only concern is that because it does not smudge that easily it can create a very harsh line and requires practice to be able to achieve your desired affect because it is quite different to normal eyeshadow.

Beauty Review- MAC Twig Satin Lipstick

Beauty review ♡
MAC Lipstick in Twig

Today i have chosen to review my MAC lipstick in the shade 'twig'. I have chosen to review this product because i am totally in love with it, i purchased this a week ago from Debenhams and i can't stop using it.

I paid £15 for this lipstick which i know is quite a lot of money for this but it has been on my wishlist for quite some time and i know i wont be buying anymore anytime soon as this will last me ages.

This lipstick is in MAC's satin collection and is described as a soft muted brownish pink. As its in the satin collection it isn't very shiny but its not completely matte, this is a good alternative to a matte lipstick especially if you suffer with dry lips as i find matte lipsticks don't always give a good effect on dry lips especially in hot weather.

One of the factors i love about this lipstick is that when i apply it i don't need to apply lip balm first so its a quick and easy lipstick to use.

MAC Satin Lipstick in Twig
I believe that the lipstick isn't suited to a certain season as it is very versatile and can be worn all year round, i paid £15 for this lipstick as i knew it would last me a long time and i could wear it with anything anytime.

I would recommend this product to any girl who wants a neutral but girly lipstick shade and wants a good high quality, long lasting product. This product is defiantly value for money.

Fashion Picks- My Summer Wishlist

Fashion Picks:
My summer wishlist:

Today I'm going to be sharing my summer wish list with you.

The first item on my wishlist is this embellished flower tee from miss selfridge and this costs £35. I remember seeing this in store when I went to Leicester and wanting it but not having the money to buy it! I like this because in real life the embellishments aren't too over the top and it is a really nice for and perfect for formal occasions.

The second item on my wishlist is the lace hem crop tee which is available at topshop for £34. I really like the colour it is a pastel mint green and is perfect for the summer. I also like the lace detailing at the bottom of the jumper I think it adds a uniqueness and girlyness to the top and is a very cute, girly summer item.

The next item is from brandy Melville and are these cute polka dot trousers. The website says they cost $45 but they ship internationally so the equivalent is about £28 in the UK. I like these trousers because I have been looking for something a bit more formal to wear instead of jeans I thought these were perfect and the polka dot pattern adds a cuteness to the look.

The fourth item on my list are these high heeled sandals from Aldo. I saw these and wanted these straight away and I was so excited when I found these in the clearance sale for £20! These go perfectly with a dress for summer and are so versatile they are a summer staple and are perfect because I needed some sandals and these are a very elegant pair that can be worn on special occasions.

Products I'm loving- Clinique Super Balanced Powder Makeup

Product's I'm Loving ♡
Clinique Super Balanced Powder Makeup

The product I am sharing with you today is the Clinique super balanced powder makeup with SPF 15.  I got sent this product from my cousin who is a makeup artist which gives me a chance to try out some high end products which is great. This product costs around £25 and I like the fact that it is a mineral powder foundation and gives a natural coverage and is very long lasting.

It gives the effect of wearing foundation and powder in one quick easy step. It is a loose powder not a pressed powder which is much more hygienic and means you can share it with your friends you simply twist the dial to release fresh powder. It also has a sun protection of 15 so it contains sun protection as well which is a definite advantage although i do live in England. This powder suits all complexions and can even out the skin tone.

When I first received this product I researched it because I couldn't figure out if it was a powder or foundation and whilst researching it I came across a lot of positive reviews about the product such as it's a very hygienic product and covers redness, anti-ageing signs, dark spots, breakouts and helps oily skin look less shiny and lasts for about 7 months when used every day.

This product has been compared to the Estée Lauder double wear foundation which is a very hyped up product and this is a lighter mineral powder version of that.

Overall I would recommend this product because it is quick and easy and doesn't feel heavy on your skin, the application is easy and the powder is long lasting and can be used without foundation. Considering that I don't normally like powder foundation because they can look cakes and sit in you creases I quite like this one because it is different and feels like your wearing nothing on your skin it is very light.

Beauty Review- Ciate Nail Varnish

Beauty review ♡
Ciate nail varnish review.

I recently purchased two Ciate nail varnishes. Ciate have created a beautiful, wearable range of fashion nail polish colours.
Ciate is a British nail brand, who is known famously worldwide for their caviar manicure. Ciate stands for; Colour, Innovation, Aspiration,Trend and Extraordinary.

I love the designs of the bottles, each bow adds such a cute feminine touch. The long handle helps provide you with the best strokes, and the flat brush has bristles that guarantees a flawless finish. The bottle is also a curved shape, which is designed to sit comfortably in your hand. I have found the nails polishes to be long-l
asting and the colours are gorgeous!

The Pink shade called 'Candy floss' is a pretty summer colour that is very versatile and will go with many outfits, it a bright eye catching girly shade.

The Yellow shade called 'big yellow taxi' is a bright, modern and summer colour, this looks lovely on its own but would also suit another colour on top for added detail.

You can see their full range I colours on the ciate website. Each pot retails for £9 and available from their website, as well as ASOS and Selfridges.

Fashion Picks- Coachella Festival Outfits 2014

Fashion Picks:
Coachella Festival Outfits:

This week im going to be looking at some festival style outfits and what better than to focus the outfits around Coachella. I'm sure we've all heard about the massive festival Coachella, all our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds were swarming with pictures from the lucky ones who attended the event.

The annual Coachella festival took place on two dates this year: April the 11th to 13th and April the 18th to 20th. Many celebrities attended the event like; Katy Perry, Alexa Chung, Vanessa Hudgens, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Chanel Iman and many many more.

Long socks, denim shorts, bold hats and festival chic. Every single style was there. Jealousy overwhelmed all most every girl when they saw each outfit from the perfect celebrity's style, each one unique.

Kendall Jenner wore a pair of short denim shorts accompanied with a strapless white crop top accessorizing with a large circular nose ring which attracted much attention. She also paired this outfit with a patterned hair tie and flowery baby blue sunglasses. She added some converse to the relaxed casual outfit. Defiantly one of my favorite's.

Katy Perry's green dyed hair caught the medias and public attention. Her edgy style and eccentric hair colours has always been her eye catching quality. Katy wore a nude rimmed hat with black band and white shaded sunglasses, her laid back off the shoulder floaty bright white top nicely complimented her black and white floral skirt. Her raised sandals added to the outfit with an intriguing stripe on the front. Her outfit was simple yet original.

Vanessa Hudgens risky, edgy outfit captured many peoples attention, her dip dyed pink hair just screamed festival and her black bodycon skirt with matching (what looks like a bikini top) outfit was accessorized to the limit. Her statement necklace complemented her silvered sandals with took backstage view from her complex outfit, her circular sunglasses showed off her quirky style. Multiple rings and bracelets crowed her hands and wrists but added to the outfit nicely.

Products i'm loving -My Polaroid Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

Products i'm loving ♡
Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Polaroid

Fujifilm polaroid Instax Mini 8
This year i decided to purchase the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 in blue after reading many reviews online about how cute and great this product was. When i first saw the product online i fell in love with the colour choice there is; pink, blue, white, black and yellow.  I opted to go for one of the pastel colours and just knew the blue would be perfect, the blue is a cute pastel baby blue that is a really pretty elegant summer colour. I ordered the camera with 4 packs of film containing 10 lots of film in each pack, altogether it cost me £70.

Polaroid of me and Emma
The camera is easy to use, you take off the back of the camera insert the film pack, press the 'take a picture' button (i didn't know what else to call it haha) and the packaging from the film pack will come out the slot at the top. Then your camera is ready to use. To open up the lens you need to press the button at the bottom of the lens and it should pop out. The camera lens turns clockwise to select the right brightness setting, the camera automatically chooses one for you. Simply look through the viewfinder and press the 'take a picture' button. Your picture will come out of the slot at the top and will be blank! But DON'T WORRY! I remember the first time i took a picture i panicked, the image will slowly develop over about 3 minutes and honestly its amazing to watch.
Close up of the lens and the lens

Polaroid of our tree

As this is Fuji's instax mini the film is small and when printed comes out as small compact image (wallet size). These are easy to store and display, but they are not too small that you cant see the detail on them. The only disadvantage to this product is that the film is very expensive (about 50p - £1 depends where you get them from). Although the images make a great keep sake and are lovely to look back at.
Polaroid of my house

Tips:
. Use your film wisely (it's very expensive)
. Use the setting the camera suggests the majority of the time its the best one.
. Make sure you watch lots of youtube videos on it before you take your first picture.

Beauty Review- Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara

Beauty Review ♡
Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara.

The product I am sharing with you today is the benefit they're real mascara. I had heard good and bad reviews on this product so I didn't really know what to expect. I purchased the mini version from my local boots store because I was looking for a different product to try and loved it so much I repurchased it in the bigger size. The regular version costs around £18/£19.50 and the mini version costs £9.50. Considering the size of the mini version it lasted quite a long time, longer than I expected and it was the perfect size for travelling.

This mascara has a plastic applicator which some people don't like in mascaras but I quite like the brush, it is different than benefits previous mascaras, it has a unique ball tip on the tip of the brush which can be used to get the corner lashes on your eyes that regular brushes miss.

Compared to the previous benefit mascara "bad gal lash" which I have also tried I much prefer this one because with the "bad gal lash" mascara I found it to make your lashes quite clumpy and the brush didn't really separate my lashes which is the complete opposite of the "they're real" mascara because the product promises curl, separation, volume and length which it does.

The product comes in a shiny silver packaging and the bottle isn't the biggest but it still lasts quite a while. The only con with this pro duct is it can start to clump if you apply several coats.
